As a soldier in the war
I am both brave and afraid
while I fight for my beliefs
of the country that I love.



The days are long
The sounds are loud
tanks and machine guns echo through the night
diving into trenches helps to keep alive.



As the days go by
many people will die
poison gas fills the air
we are full of despair.



When the air clears
and the sunshine is bright
Hope once again fills our hearts
because we know
that winning the war will most certainly enhance our lives.

Time goes on and more are wounded
trenches getting fuller.
Death is all around us now
seems there's no escape



Night time falls tonight is quiet
A perfect time to write
letters to the ones I love
to let them know I miss them and i'm fine.
